Your tasks

    Team Leader Dispatch – Italian Transport

    The goal of the position

    Responsibility for the operational and economic management of transport to Italy, as well as leading an existing dispatching team to ensure a smooth, on-time and cost-optimized transport process.

    Tasks and responsibilities

    • Professional and disciplinary management of the dispatch team in Italian transport
    • Planning, control and monitoring of international transports (FTL/LTL) to and from Italy
    • Maintenance and further development of existing customer relationships
    • Management and deployment of subcontractors and own vehicle fleet
    • Price negotiations with customers and freight carriers in coordination with management.
    • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations (driving and rest times, cabotage, documentation, etc.)
    • Quality and cost control as well as optimization of transport processes
    • Escalation management in case of disruptions (delays, damages, complaints)
    • Close collaboration with sales, billing and management
    • Employee onboarding, training and development

    Requirements / Qualifications

    • Several years of professional experience in international truck dispatching , ideally in traffic to Italy
    • Demonstrable leadership experience in logistics
    • Very good knowledge of the European transport market, especially Italy
    • Fluent German and Italian language skills required; English is an advantage.
    • Safe handling of TMS systems and MS Office
    • Entrepreneurial thinking, decisiveness and high resilience
    • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and team orientation
